I've written 50,000+ tweets, here's how to go viral

Virality isnā€™t a 1+1=2 problem.

Itā€™s a 56 Ɨ 73/98 +23 = 7y - (897/5Ɨ2-9) problem.

Oh and thatā€™s just today, tomorrow the equation will change - so donā€™t bother memorizing it.

(and on top of that, thereā€™s unlimited equations)

The thing about virality is the game (algorithm) is always changing, but the people (audience) are not.

Mr. Beast famously says that anytime you say the word ā€œalgorithmā€, just replace it with ā€œaudienceā€.

So what are the basic principles you need to master to give yourself the highest chance of virality?

  1. Attention Span

The TikTok-ification of social media made it so that content needs to cater to an ADHD-economy.

Short sentences, snappy hooks, read/watch-ability, etc.

Ask yourself:

Is this tweet a ā€˜scroll-stopperā€™?

Did I read this all the way through without getting bored?

  1. Read-time

Youtube Virality is simply (Average Viewer Duration * Clickthrough Rate)

On Twitter (X), you should reverse engineer for the same.

Is this the tweet a scroll stopper?

Did I read this all the way through without getting bored?

If the answer is no, 2 great ways to fix this:

  • Add Media (video, thumbnails, pictures)

  • Shorten your sentences

Nobody wants to read blocky paragraphs on š• anymore.

Catch their attention and keep them there as long as possible.

If you found this helpful, I recommend grabbing PESTO Pillars at whop.com/twitter (currently in Beta)

Cheers,
