Content Sliders, Explained

I recently invented a new idea.

Content Sliders.

I was explaining to my team the importance of knowing when to lean into a certain content style.

All of our client content falls into the PESTO Pillars.

  • Personal

  • Expertise

  • Social-proof

  • Trending

  • Opinions

This helps us balance building brand and converting sales.

So how much of each pillar should you create?

Think of it as %.

In NBA 2K (my favorite game was I was 14 years old) you could adjust the sliders to affect how the game would play.

Want all your players to run faster

Turn the slider up to 100%.

Let’s apply this to your Personal Brand.

Start with 20% for each of the 5 pillars.

If you go viral and need to focus on conversions?

Turn up the Social-proof slider to 40-50%.

If you’re low on leads and need to go viral?

Turn up the Expertise or Trending slider.

And so-on, and so forth.
